Engineering Undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, offering tutoring for GCSE, AS and A Level students in Maths and Physics in Cambridge. I have experience tutoring both subjects up to A level and have also worked as a consultant interviewer for Oxbridge candidates.
I have mentored a number through GCSE and A level Maths, Physics and Chemistry. The students have typically been struggling prior to having my tutoring (D-E grades) and have always progressed to a minimum of a grade B (or equivalent). For students who are willing to put in the necessary time and effort, it is very possible to achieve top grades. I cater for GCSE and A level Maths and Physics. Generally, I will identify and ask students about any particular areas of weakness, then focus on these. To ensure full understanding, I test the student on what has been taught and will test the student again at the start of the next session to assist with long-term knowledge retention.

Red Bull Technology: (25/06/18 - Present)
I am currently undertaking a student industrial placement in the mid-car aerodynamic development team of Red Bull Technology, the sister company of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing. In this role I have learned to use Siemens NX CAD software to design surfaces; ANSA pre-processing software to generate the surface mesh for geometries that I design and Red Bull's in-house software to analyse results from both CFD and wind tunnel testing.
Base Performance Simulators: (03/07/17 – 11/08/17)
After a week of work experience in September 2016, I returned to BPS for a 6-week internship. During this time, I had a range of responsibilities including building mathematical models for car weight transfer, diagnosing technical problems and finding solutions, programming an Arduino for a start-light system, performing engine load calculations, analysing driver input data and testing and developing car and track models. Driver feedback was repeatedly shown to be a vital tool for developing accurate and realistic simulator models and this has made me appreciate how qualitative data is just as essential within engineering as quantitative data.
Williams Grand Prix Engineering: (April 2015)
I spent 4 days working in the Prototype and Test department of Williams F1. Over these 4 days, I was introduced to methods of static and dynamic testing of different components of a Formula 1 car and assisted in setting up test rigs and collecting data.
Benchsound LTD: (December 2014 – July 2015)
At Benchsound I spent one afternoon per week, along with additional days during school holidays, primarily learning how to fully recondition the cylinder head of an engine - including cylinder head skimming, reconditioning and replacing valves and re-cutting valve seats.
Bubble and Kick Racing (Team BKR): (17/02/14 – 21/02/14)
During my week with Bubble and Kick racing, I was given an insight into how a small racing team runs on a daily basis. I assisted with a roll cage fitting and helped with any general jobs around the workshop.
Positions of responsibility:
At Sixth form, I was a Chemistry prefect and mentor to AS level Mathematics and Chemistry students. During my second year of university, I was Head of Vehicle Dynamics my University’s Formula Student team (Full Blue Racing), having been on the sponsorship and powertrain teams the year before. I will be taking on a more senior role upon returning at the end of my placement year.
