My teaching method is adaptable, based on the level of the student and the way they learn. This includes working through problems together, assigning tasks and talking through problems, and setting individual work which will be marked. I believe students should first learn how to do a problem, then go through a problem with someone, then do the problem themselves, then explain it to the tutor. This will ensure solid and sure knowledge in the subject area.
I am a student at King's College London Mathematics School and have been tutoring after school at Waldegrave School for 3 years. I have taught a number of students at different levels and stages of secondary school education, one who achieved an 8 in GCSE Maths.
I am an independent, outgoing and academically capable individual, with various areas of interest, including physics, mathematics and economics I have also written a piece of academic research as part of Kings College London’s ‘King’s Certificate’ programme, called ‘The Expanding Universe and Cosmic Inflation’. I excel working in a team, while also capable of leading a group, such as when I planned school prom, using good communication, time management, and organisation skills to ensure a successful event.
