Personal statement
________________________________________

An enthusiastic and friendly person who loves meeting new people and is highly motivated and dedicated to the job with experience in dealing with students. Through my previous experience in 1 to 1 tutoring in sixth form and privately, I have been able to develop skills which have allowed me to become a better tutor but also skills that have aided in my university studies. Additionally, volunteering at the library has allowed me to deal with students all the way from year 1 to year 13 and the diversity in age groups has been essential to the development of my own skills and knowledge.

Work Experience
________________________________________

1 to 1 Tutoring, 09/2016-07/2017

I taught GCSE maths to students in my sixth form who were struggling, furthermore I tutored students privately in my local area, this has helped build my skills as a tutor and through teaching these students it has sparked a passion for helping and teaching students.

Barclays work experience young banker, Barclays
04/2014 - 04/2014
Responsibilities & Achievements:
I was able to observe the day to day tasks and responsibilities of each of the team members at the branch and how each role contributed to the operation of the bank. I was able to build my communication skills through interactions with customers answering queries and guiding them around the branch. I was also able to gain experience in a wide variety of sectors at Barclays from the cashiers to the premier relations managers. This showed me the importance of how a team operates to run an entire branch and the levels of communication needed.

Volunteer Hainault Library, London Borough of Redbridge
02/2013 - 09/2015
Responsibilities & Achievements::
I volunteered at my local library where I lead homework clubs to support other students through group tutoring/mentoring. This role has shown me the importance of listening and how to change my approach for every student, as they all learn differently. This allowed me to develop my communication skills as I had to support students and also relay the information back to the parents and in some cases where students were not fluent at English it proved to me a difficult challenge which ultimately lead to me having to improve as mentor and as a person. I also volunteered in the summer supporting children their reading and working with other volunteers has allowed me to develop my teamwork and communication skills but also my patience and empathy as every student learns at their own pace. This has been crucial

Cadet,, St John Ambulance
09/2012 - 09/2014
Responsibilities & Achievements:
Spending almost 2 years at St John Ambulance has taught me a great deal about basic first aid, dealing with patients and the importance of patient confidentiality. However, one of my key responsibilities was fundraising and through fundraising I have been made more resilient and it has taught me how to approach members of the public. My time at St John Ambulance was spent in a team based environment where I worked with a team of volunteers who strived to promote St.John and build positive relationships with the local community through carrying out duties at local events but also at larger events such as the London Marathon. Through this I have been able to give back to the community and support a cause I truly believe in.
