I'm an agreeable, enthusiastic and determined teacher in the way I look for the best method to compliment my students learning style, having taught children with different learning difficulties. A lesson could consist of musical instruction or a simple dialogue and exploration into whatever theory topics that need to be covered
I am an A level music student with experience teaching piano within my local school.I taught through a scheme which offered lessons to children who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to learn. Musical theory is a passion of mine so I ran the theory club to assure confidence for the gcse students looking to continue into a level

Personal statement in support of my application
I studied as a sixth form student at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr with A Level Maths, Music and Physics as my subjects, all I enjoyed immensely but I will hopefully continue with a degree in maths from Swansea.
I am honest, hardworking, reliable and well-organised. I have a positive attitude, lots of patience and a good sense of humour. I really enjoy working with other people and have a very caring nature.
In my spare time I a volunteer at the 29th Cardiff Scout Troop every week. I really enjoy helping the less experienced Scouts to develop their skills whilst furthering mine. I find this work very rewarding both emotionally and vocationally, I find many of the skills are transferable. My passion for scouting resulted in me being selected to represent Great Britain at 23rd world scout jamboree in Japan, the selection process was demanding with two years of preparation incorporating fundraising, additional voluntary work and team building exercises.

I am an avid musician, I have attained distinction grade 6 piano looking to do my diploma after my degree. I am also learning the cello and I am a self-taught guitarist, this has led me to be selected to play bass for the school jazz band.
I have been involved in the scouting movement for many years, beginning with Beavers and continuing on through to my current position of Explorer Scout and a volunteering young leader for the more junior levels of scouting, leading me to attain a 2* kayaking qualification allowing me to assist other instructors in their teaching of lower level kayakers.
