My lessons are usually focused around topic based exam technique as I believe this is the trickiest part of the new style GCSEs. I like to use the first few lessons to analyse the subject specification with students and identify the areas they feel least confident with, then we can work towards plugging the gaps in knowledge whilst practicing the all important exam strategies! Whilst studying for my GCSEs I found the advice from older students so valuable as they could relate to all my worries about the upcoming exams. I think student to student tutoring is the best way to boost your grades in a casual environment that feels just like having a chat with friends!
Hello! I'm a sixth form student currently studying French, Biology and Chemistry at A level. I was part of one of the first year groups to take the new style of GCSE's and I know how difficult they can be! I managed to achieve six grade 9's (including biology and french) and four grade 8's and for the past few years have tutored younger students through end of year exams. Last year several of my amazing students achieved grade 9's in French!
