A-level student offering support and help with academic studies with relevant training, experience and knowledge.

About the lesson

I view myself as a calm, patient and focused teacher who is able to understand what the student truly needs in order to help them academically. The lessons I will carry out will be focused on breaking down challenging concepts avoiding the overwhelming approach of looking briefly into large topics. My method will be based upon the individual and the ways in which they work best. For example if I were to teach visual learner, resources such as pictures aids and charts will be used, whereas for an audial learner lesson will incorporate more discussions. This way the student will be able to get the most out of our time together and feel that they have accomplished and achieved whilst at their tutor.

About Maddie

I am currently Head Girl at my sixth form college in Dorset. I have experienced tutoring younger years with their struggles within school and have completed training with the charity DorestMind on how to discuss and communicate appropriately and beneficially with adolescents. I passed all my GSCEs and now working towards attaining grades ABB at a level as well as an A grade in my AS course. I have also completed a MOOC course in Understanding ADHD and so have the ability to understand why learning can be so challenging for some. Lastly I have access to a huge range of online resources, perfect to adapt learning to the individual needs and preferences.
