Methodology

My teaching method is to target areas of weakness in order to build a solid foundation, but also to mix this in with an opportunity to consolidate their strengths so that confidence can be built up. I believe that learning should be done through a variety of methods, keeping it interesting and engaging to make your children want to learn more.

Experience

I am a student at Tormead School, currently studying for my A-Levels. My specialist subjects are English, Geography, Biology and Maths. I am also offering babysitting, as well as any tutoring needed for SATS, having personally completed level 6 exams in all subjects, and for year 7 entrance exams, having gone through the process myself. I have not yet had any tutoring experience, however I am keen to help anyone who needs it!

I spent a week of my summer holiday working at Kingston Rowing Club, teaching junior non-rowers, aged 11-18, the basics of rowing and caring for them on the water for the week. This has given me experience of working with children.

I have been rowing for 6 years, and it has been a continued interest and commitment of mine. I have competed nationally multiple times, in single, double, quad and eight events in both sculling and sweeping.

I am the Sales Director in a student-led Young Enterprise team, called Team Abante. We designed products from scratch, and are now selling our handmade beeswax wraps and plant pots, promoting environmental sustainability.
