Methodology

I believe the most efficient teaching method is through showing and practicing techniques. This includes: highlighting texts, speedreading and proofreading, recognising what the examiner is actually asking and thus how to approach answers. In teaching creative writing, I show students effective structures, appropriate openings and conclusions and teach them how to create imagery through visualisation, setting their work apart from that of other students. I also teach mathematics from the basic level (decimals, fractions, basic algebra) though to complex problem solving for students to gain each possible mark. Given the current circumstances, online meetings are preferable, although I am London-based and can offer face-to-face tuition.
