I provide literacy lessons based on phonics, sight word recognition, vocabulary-building and fluency. This approached is backed by the latest research into effective teaching for literacy. My lessons can help children at any age and at any level of literacy.
As a university graduate in English Language and Philosophy, I also offer support with essay writing, preparing for exams and general academic support.
My teaching focuses on supporting children's confidence and wellbeing, as this is the basis for effective learning. I am encouraging, disciplined and understanding of children's difficulties with reading and learning.
I am a pre-service teacher (completing my Masters of Teaching in 2020) who has been working in literacy intervention and autism support in an Adelaide primary school since 2017. My students have made great strides in their literacy skills and general wellbeing. I am expert in creating the safe, supportive environment for students that is essential for effective learning. I am passionate about helping all children achieve their full potential.

I deliver the school’s literacy intervention program (MultiLit), working with small groups of children aged six to eleven. I provide curriculum and administrative support to class teachers, focussing on children on the autistic spectrum, and those needing extra support. I work separately one-on-one or in small groups with students and give additional support to students within the classroom.
I am also a trained masseur, permaculturist, kinesiologist and potter.
