I try to teach by making my students think for themselves - I will explain a new topic in detail first but will then try to have the student memorise the new information and then explain it to me.
I usually start with explaining the grammar and then move on to a quick repetition where the student needs to explain the topic and finally provide some exercises to reinforce the new information.
I am happy to adapt my teaching style according to different requirements.
I am a linguistics graduate and have been giving private lessons to classmates during high school and uni years. I have a degree in Russian Linguistics and Literary Science and have been studying various languages throughout my life so I know what it takes to improve your skills. I am a native German speaker (I grew up in Switzerland - the official language is Standard High German there) and German was one of my main subjects in high school. I also have extensive experience translating into German.
