I am based in London and have taught and still am teaching as a design and technology tutor at various universities since 1996;
I studied Architecture but I also have a MA in Interior Design; I have been concerned about the environment since my degree studies and my firm belief is that sustainability does not have to be ugly!
I teach at access, degree and post graduate level and I place a great emphasis on creativity and lateral thinking, through the development of analytical, critical and problem solving skills, which I believe will be fundamental assets for creative professionals in a future dominated by Artificial Intelligence.
I am currently engaged with self directed studies examining socio-architectonic change that may be stimulated by AI and the role of neuroscience in architectural form and the pursuit of happiness.
I have practiced for many years and have won awards (RIBA regional 2004, Future House, Bauwelt, Hackney Design) and had worked published in magazines and books.
I have been invited as a guest critic at various Universities and I have taught hundreds of students, many of whom have gained awards both as students and practicing professionals (RIBA medals).
I would like to think of myself as an enthusiastic, friendly and empathic tutor :-) and I really appreciate the opportunity that private tutoring may give me with regard to time flexiblity and the possibility to pursue my personal interest and projects.
