I'm a friendly holistic teacher who has worked in the field of the arts and live-literature for 17 years. I have been a private tutor for two years.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
SEN: I can work with learning difficulties associated with ASD, ADHD, learning delay, school phobia and stress related learning blocks.
Musicianship/music workshops/vocal techniques: I have been running music based workshops for over ten years and currently teach singing techniques. I studied music technology BTEC level 3, have a good understanding of basic theory for improvisation and played several instruments in various ensembles and bands over the years. Rather than teaching an instrument I can help you connect with your internal musician.
Drama: I've worked using Drama In Education in a number of settings including youth theatre and adult SEN groups. Fundamentally I'm a storyteller and comic and so I now only focus on teaching comedy improvisation, laughter improvisation and clowning.

I am now in the middle of block sessions with Lorraine and it is fantastic! I have to say, anybody who needs help to reach their potential, Lorraine has the skills, personal experience and most importantly PATIENCE to help you find your academic rhythm. I would highly recommend her.
She has got everything that a teacher needs to have: patience , knowledge, humor… etc
Lorraine is a wonderful and inspirational tutor! She has managed effortlessly to motivate my son to work diligently and reliably towards his exam... recommend Lorraine very highly to anyone who is looking for an inspirational, creative, versatile and fun tutor, who seems to have a rare human talent to connect to young people, see their qualities and bring the hidden gems to the fore.
