Understanding what you're doing is fundamental. Explaining the purpose and function of techniques are the best way to really master mathematics. I use examples for people to get a real life understanding as to what certain terms mean. Then its just a matter of practise questions and more practise questions.

I am currently working on placement as a trainee accountant after completing 2 years at Loughborough uni studying acccounting and financial management where I will return next year to graduate.
New to this tutoring malarky but thought I'd give it a go! I am generally pretty patient and am a big believer in education. I have an A in A-Level maths and have deveopled some areas further at university so should be pretty good help for any GCSE/AS help (Admittedly some areas of A2 syllabus pretty tricky but I might be able to help).
