I have been teaching guitar to both adults and children for over 15 years both in music schools and privately. Each student comes with a story and an individual passion for music. I am always thrilled to help them tell that story, learn what moves them, and foster their creativity - all through music!
I was awarded 1st prize in “SMALL BAND” category (The Next Step Quintet) at the «Made in New York Jazz competition» performing at Tribeca theatre of Arts, New York and throughout my career I have collaborated with several world class musicians such as Tivon Pennicott, J.D Walter, Gilad Atzmon, David Lynch (saxophone), George Kontrafouris and many more.
If you want to learn the basics on the guitar, play your favorite songs or develop your skills, I can help you get your own journey started or go further from where you already are!
Music is the ultimate human language and together we can learn how to express ourselves and communicate with it!
Every lesson is tailored to the needs and interests of each student so you can reach your goals as quickly as possible.
I have been a professional guitarist and composer with over 20 years of
international performances and session recordings to my credit. For over 15 years I have had the pleasure to teach students from all levels and musical backgrounds, from beginners to professionals, always trying to find ways to help each one grow musically and find their own path.

My friend recommended Thodoris when I decided to start bouzouki lessons. I was a beginner and Thodoris helped me a lot in order to understand the importance of music and simultaneously to improve my music skills. He is not only a great and competent teacher who tries to improve your skills every time but he is also a very kind and good person who really cares about his students.Given the fact that teachers play a very important role in our life, I highly recommend Thodoris as a guitar and bouzouki teacher.
Thodoris has the deep knowledge to help you understand the abilities and posibilities of playing guitar. He makes clear the dark places in what you already know. In the same time he inspires you to approach the instrument with a creative way. I am sure about these since all these were achieved in me thru our lessons and each lesson with Thodoris opens a new door. Strongly suggested.
As a person hoping to pursue a career as a musician, Thodoris was the best option for a guitar tutor! He introduced me to fundamentals (and beyond of jazz), he advised me on how to improve my sound,my time feel, my jazz vocabulary, my knowledge on the instrument (fretboard) and so on ! The attributes that I valued more about him is his high level of professionalism, his organizational skills, his preparation for the upcoming class, knowing what you're in need of every time, and his really great and friendly personality. Of course not to mention his excellent playing and musicality. Surely he is more than a tutor, and my favourite one so far!
Thodoris has been teaching my son jazz guitar and improvisation for the last 2 years. He is meticulous, patient and has an incredible gift of explaining music and inspiring my son. He tailors all the lessons to my son's interests and I believe that it is why he was able to progress so quickly. I totally recommend Thodoris as a music teacher, he is extremely skilled and a great person too!
I have had a lot of tutors for different activities in my life and I can, easily, say that Thodoris is, by far, the best! I met him through a close friend, who is a musician as well, and, since I have been meaning to take guitar lessons for a long time, I gave it a go. Just after a few lessons he, immediately, understood my difficulties and found ways to help me get past them! His attention to the details that others may just ignore is one of the things that would make me choose Thodoris again and again, since this makes the lessons truly personalised. And, for a bonus, they are fun too! I would heartily recommend him!
Brilliant for beginners! - Absolutely the best guitar teacher, not just a great teacher but a great musician too! For complete beginners like me, Thodoris’ lessons are a fantastic mix of fun and theory; clear, concise and always super helpful. After each lesson, I really feel that I am moving forward. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to begin playing the guitar!
I met Thodoris at one of his concerts in Athens. Apart from being extremely skillful, Thodoris is an excellent teacher! He is very patient, explains everything thoroughly and takes the lesson at your pace, building your learning plan around your specific needs!
It's been only a few months, but I feel like I have already made substantial progress. (that said he has certainly given me more confidence to try new things and understanding music!!)
Looking forward to my next lesson!
