About the lesson
I am a young and enthusiastic drum teacher who has been teaching and leading workshops for about 4 years. I have had an excellent musical education, recently graduating from Birmingham Conservatoire. I think that technique is very important in drumming but so is having fun and loving music. I currently teach for Herts and Staffs Music services as well as privately and I have experience in working with children with moderate learning difficulties. I am happy to teach grades.

Drum kit in all styles but specialising in Jazz, Latin and Rock.
World percussion- Congas, Bongos, Cajon, Darabuka, Djembe etc...
Classical Percussion- Snare Drum and Xylophone.

BMus (Hons) in Jazz from Birmingham Conservatoire
A Level and GCSE Music
Grade 8 Drum Kit
Grade 5 Theory
- How much do you charge?
I charge the Musicians Union rate of £28 per hour for one-to-one lessons.
Half Hour one-to-one lessons would be £16.
I am happy to teach a group of 2 students of similar ability, which would be at the rate of £15 per person per hour.
Workshops are £70 per hour but if you have less than five people in your group a lower price may be negotiable.
Travel expenses are negotiable depending on where you live and if I have other students within the same area.
- Where do you teach?
I come to you. No hassle of having to find where I live, I will teach in the comfort of your own home. If you are looking for lessons for your children you won't have to worry about waiting around whilst they have their lesson.
I teach mainly within Birmingham but will travel to surrounding areas such as Walsall, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Shropshire, Stratford, Stafford, Lichfield etc...
- When are you available?
I am currently available at these times:-
Monday- All day and evening
Wednesday- Afternoon and Evening
Friday- All day and Evening
Saturday/Sunday day time.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Drum Kit- Beginner to Advanced.
World Percussion- Beginner to Intermediate.
Classical Percussion- Beginner to Grade 5 level.
Music Theory- Beginner to Grade 5 level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I have experience of working with the Trinity Guildhall, Associated Board and Rockschool graded qualifications. I am happy to prepare Drum Kit students for auditions to music college as well.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I currently teach for Herts and Staffs music services which involves teaching drum kit to children from the ages of 10-18 and teaching wider opps music classes in Glockenspiel and Djembe to wholes classes of year 4s and 6s.
I have also taught the drum kit on a one-to-one basis to children with moderate learning difficulties.
Other education work has included community music projects for Barbican Education and working as a guest lecturer at Birmingham Conservatoire Junior School.

I have three CRB certificates. One for Birmingham Conservatoire Junior School, one for Hertfordshire Music Service and one for Staffordshire Performing Arts.
