I also teach at my private apartment in Camberwell - I have a Steinway designed Grand Piano for teaching on.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I am a highly experienced concert pianist, soloist and chamber musician performing worldwide, especially in the UK, USA and Europe.
I originate from a well established musical family, with my parents and siblings also being prominent musicians within the classical world. I have taught for 11 years in music schools including in the USA (FL, TX) and have given private residencies. I also have 12 years private tuition experience teaching students of different age, standards and covering many different genres.

- Where and with whom did you train?
Pianist Maciej Kassak was born in Gdansk into a family of renowned musicians.
He began playing music at the age of seven with cello being his first instrument. Following the footsteps of his mother he took on violin when he was nine, and at the age of 11, trumpet became his major instrument.
He started learning piano under the guidance of well known pianists, Katarzyna Popowa Zydron, Waldemar Wojtal and Wlodzimierz Wiesztordt.
As a student at the Gdynia Conservatorium of Music he was awarded the prestigious â€œMinister of Culture and Artsâ€ scholarship – twice in consecutive years.
He has performed at many important musical events and festivals including â€œMlode Talenty Gdanskaâ€ & â€œBydgoskie Impresje Muzyczneâ€ in Poland, â€œBordeaux Fete le Vinâ€ and â€œSt Emillion Music Festivalâ€ France, â€œSchleswig Holstein Musik Festivalâ€ Germany and â€œTilburg and The Hague Young Musicians Festivalâ€ Holland.
In 2002 Maciej graduated with first class honours in piano performance from the Conservatory of Music in Gdynia, having studied in professor Bogdan Kulakowski class.
In 2010 to commemorate bicentenary of Fryderyk Chopin's birth he was invited by the Polish Society in Texas, USA to give three recitals of Chopin's major works.
Since 2010 Maciej has been performing regularly on luxury cruise liners around the world for Fred Olsen and Carnival UK Group respectively.
In 2011 Maciej started an exciting collaboration with well established young British clarinettist and they formed The Carpatska Duo. Together this vibrant classical tandem offers a repertoire of the core clarinet and piano chamber music. The Duo recent appearance includes The Apex in Bury St Edmunds among the other fine venues in the UK.

I teach wide range of age groups. My youngest student being 5 years old and the oldest 63! who just recently passed his grade 4 piano exam!
