After school one-on-one Maths and Science tuition up to GCSE, Maths and Physics up to A-level offered.
My tutoring would consist of supervised problem-solving- I'd set problems geared to challenge the student and develop their problem-solving style.
My experience in education; during the academic summer between 3rd and 4th year I completed a teaching placement with a prominent teaching academy in Manchester. This involved participating in teaching activities during science and physics lessons and running a weekly lunchtime science club. Additionally, I have given one-on-one maths tuition to friends of family.
I am a Physics graduate from Manchester, I completed an integrated masters degree (MPhys). Before this, I attended Barton Peveril Sixth form College where I completed A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and an AS level in Chemistry.
In my time at Manchester, I was fortunate to be involved in some high-level physics data analysis efforts- for my contributions to one I was made a co-author of the published paper: Pairing Properties of the Double-Beta Emitter Cd116, Phys Rev C. (2019). As a result, I have a good deal of experience using physics knowledge, statistics, programming and other experimental skills and techniques in the pursuit of understanding.
What I'm offering is one-on-one problem based tuition- I'd go through problems with the student and set new ones to cultivate an understanding across the fields of Maths and Physics at up to A-level. I'm quite a creative person, and I find writing tailored problems to be an interesting and rewarding way to use my creative talent and further my subject-understanding.
On top of supplementing course-work with supervised problem solving, I'd look to demonstrate the real-world significance of the work in any way I can- whether its with examples I've had personal experience in during the course of my studies or examples based on things I've read. I personally believe linking the concept to the application or context can provide a useful way to enhance understanding.
My academic history is as follows:

6 A*, 5 A, 1 C
A*: Maths Methods, Maths Applications, English Literature, History, Chemistry, RE
A: Physics, Biology, Art, English Language, Electronic Products
