I have performed at the highest level in Orchestras and small Chamber Groups. I have always enjoyed teaching and am committed to helping each student reach their full potential whilst making playing an instrument an enjoyable experience.

Violin, Viola and Chamber Music as well as Music Theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, graduating in 1994.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £40 per hour, £30 for 45 mins or £20 for half an hour.
- Where do you teach?
I teach from my home in Central Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
- When are you available?
I am very flexible and have times throughout the week and weekends.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and levels from beginner to diploma standard and beyond. My youngest pupil was 3 years old!
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I have prepared students for both Associated Board and Trinity exams as well as orchestral auditions and recitals.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Don't be afraid to give it a try! I try to teach everyone as an individual - there is no 'one size fits all' approach. Whether you are aiming to be a professional musician or just want half an hour a week of a fun, relaxing hobby I try to make lessons as enjoyable and productive as possible.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I was a member of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra before being appointed Sub-Principal in the Northern Sinfonia. Since 2006 I have freelanced in London playing with numerous top orchestras as well as being invited to play Guest Principal in orchestras around the UK. I perform many concerts with my Chamber Group, Premiere Strings. I have always enjoyed teaching and currently hold a position at Wycombe Abbey School, Sunday Times Independent School of the Year. I have also been involved in teaching and coaching work at Stowe School and Lancing College and have always taught private students.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
At Wycombe Abbey I teach girls from 11-18 and their standards range from complete beginners to diploma candidates. Privately I teach an age range from 8 years upwards and have several adult learners who were complete beginners and seem to really enjoy their lessons!
