I am an enthusiastic, patient and highly-reliable tutor. I believe that it is a privilege to be part of someone’s education and I hope to inspire students to reach their potential and love their subjects.
My teaching is always tailored to the needs of individual students, but I will often use visual aids, question prompts, and analogies to simplify complex concepts. In order to succeed in Biology it is crucial to have a thorough understanding of the topics – not just to memorise specific keywords for the examination. After taking the time to explain concepts in detail and answering as many queries the student may have, I will often ask them to explain the topic back to me – as this proves a solid and long-term understanding. I have successfully used this method for myself throughout my education, as well as for students that I have previously tutored.
In addition I will guide the student through how to identify exactly what an examination question is asking and how to structure their answers accordingly.
I would also be more than happy to offer my guidance and experience in university applications.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I am currently only teaching online. However once the situation improves I would be open to either continuing online classes or beginning face-to-face tutoring.
I am a 4th year integrated Masters Biochemistry student at King’s College London. I have had extensive experience tutoring students at GCSE and A/AS Level, throughout my sixth form, during my gap year, and my time at university. I am very pleased to say that all of my students have gone on to achieve high grades in their examinations.
I myself have achieved 11 A*s at GCSE and A* in Biology at A-Level.
