I base my classes on what will benefit my pupil's best. It is important that the outcome of the lesson is that they achieve to the best of their availabilities. My method is very interactive and engaging so I can ensure that the pupil is learning at the correct level and speed.
I am a graduate of Durham University in Anthropology and Sociology. I am currently reading for a Masters at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in Theatre Directing. I have a wide array of tutoring experience. This ranges from 1 on 1 to larger group sizes, in addition to group ability. From 11+ to University level. I am bilingual in Spanish and have worked as a translator. I have worked both in professional film productions and theatre.
2017 - 2020: University of Durham: BA (HONS) Anthropology & Sociology 2:1
2020 - 2021: Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts: MA Theatre Directing
March 2013: Novello Theatre, Covent Garden. I assisted with many aspects of the production of ‘Mamma Mia’; I worked predominantly with the crew helping aspects concerning lighting and backstage management. I worked with a large ensemble, under time constraints and pressure that was required especially on a two-show day.
August 2016, 2017: Rattling Stick, a film production company in Soho. I serviced as a runner, on
set, and in around London. I worked on commercials for Virgin Trains and Samsung. This included being a part of the storyboard process, ensuring shoot bags and director lists were ready for shoot days, and helping organise on set. I learnt leadership skills, as I was left in charge of several other runners, and dealt with several different jobs simultaneously.
July-August 2019: I worked as a production assistant for United Agents, a comedy agency that manages acts such as Francis Boulle and Tom Rosenthal, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This included organising guest lists, as well as keeping production venues and acts informed about sales on a daily basis. It was an exceptionally demanding role as the festival presents itself intensely. However, I juggled my time and my work commitments, and it felt extremely fruitful as I gained an insight into arts events programming and networking.
May-October 2019: Was the Assistant Director on an independent feature film, Audition, with Keylight Studios. I was involved with creative editing of the script, casting and leading the rehearsal process prior to shoot days, in addition to running rehearsal blocks on set prior to shooting. The majority of filming took place in the North of England and is being submitted to festivals for the 2020 season.
I believe that my creative experience, both through my work with United Agents, Rattling Stick and through my experience with theatre, has allowed me to research, listen and provide polished work. My dedication to my tasks has enabled me to perform to the best of my ability, whilst upholding deadlines and the standards expected of me.
