In the introductory lesson I will aim to establish what you are trying to achieve and how best to approach our future lessons to make sure that you can improve as much as possible!
Once we have established what you are trying to achieve I will try to create fun and informative sessions which focus on making sure the individual gains as much as possible. All levels are welcome up to A-Level.
I am a fourth year mechanical and nuclear engineering student who is currently getting a first, who studied Maths (A*), Physics (B) and Biology (B) at A-level in 2014. I gained an A* in both Maths and Physics at GCSE too.
I have limited teaching experience in an academic sense, but have a rich history of working alongside children of all ages while teaching sports such as sailing and rugby, which has allowed me to build a good rapport with children in a constructive manner.
I am generally very laid back and patient when teaching and try to explain things to the best of my ability in a manner that allows the individuals develop their own understanding of concepts to aid their overall ability.
Jack is a very nice and intelligent guy. He's always well mannered and can explain complicated things clearly. He's also very reliable.
I have worked with Jack on multiple university projects and have found him to be a good listener and a calm and collected individual. He has a humble demeanour and is very helpful in terms of assisting individuals with tasks that they are struggling with. He has a very good approach to explaining problems and will work hard to ensure that the person he is teaching fully understands the issue. I fully recommend Jack being a tutor and believe he will be very well suited to the role.
Jack is a good friend, but even a better teacher (sorry Jack). You can be sure that he knows his maths, and most importantly, how to explain it. When he helps me at uni with my maths, he never leaves me alone until I'm able to show him that I understood it all (out of fear I ask him the same questions another time I reckon).
4/5 Stars friend and 5/5 tutor, would book him on Superprof if I had more student money.
Jack is very reliable in his commitments and in his knowledge. He is very good at explaining and very patient in his approach to teaching.
