I have been a physics and mathematics tutor since 2015, mentoring hundreds of students, up to university level.
Usually, I stick to the following pattern: I start my lesson providing scientific and – possibly – historical background of the subject, making sure that the student has clear why we are tackling that particular issue.
After a theoretical explanation of the subject at hand, we turn to the problem sheet. This tests and strengthens the comprehension of the student, and is thus a fundamental part of the lesson.
Throughout the lesson, I put effort in involving the student, by asking them questions, by providing examples drawn from real life and by encouraging questions from his side.
I believe that my first responsibility is to help students become independent in their studies.
I am very easygoing, and I am sure you are going to be happy with my tutoring.
Please, feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
Marco is one of our best tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!
I completed with a distinction my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics, and I am currently doing my PhD in mathematics at Imperial College.
I have given tuitions of physics and maths for more than 5 years, accumulating about 2000 hours of tutoring and mentoring hundreds of high school and university students.
Also, I have been a GTA for two terms, teaching mechanics and electromagnetism at the Chemistry Department at University of Salerno in Italy.
In both instances the results were extremely positive: students drastically improved their grades and performed very well at their exams.

Perfect! Marco has been an exceptional tutor - always accommodating, friendly and prepared! He has guided me through my University Maths course with no difficulty, and Marco used his Physics background to give me a broader perspective when tackling the subject. I can definitely say I have enjoyed my lessons with him, and look forward to learning more from him!
Perfect! Responsible and on task. He is willing to answer persistent questions the tutee has.
He is very curious and smart. A bit disorganized! But overall he is a very good student.
Having been Marco's flatmate for over a year, I have seen first-hand how much preparation he puts into each session; catering to students with different requirements. varied subjects, poring over study material - and all this while he maintains his calm personality and exudes professionalism. He is a terrific tutor and reviews by his students are definitely in agreement with this!
Marco Esposito tutored our son in the summer of 2020 in Mechanics, a specialised module at Imperial College that requires knowledge of both maths and physics. Our son was in his gap year and needed to pass several modules for his Maths course. Especially daunting was the Mechanics module and our son had only a month before the re-sit exam in September. At the time, Marco was in the final stages of completing his PhD in Mathematics, also from Imperial.
Our son passed Mechanics and, in fact, passed his other modules as well. Marco deserves massive credit for our son's results in the final exam. In addition, he should be highly commended for inspiring and encouraging our son to work hard in order to advance to the next year. Indeed, he deserves special thanks for his encouragement, guidance and expert coaching since we first approached him for tutoring.
We are thrilled with the results and would rate Marco 10/10. We recommend him highly as a tutor in maths and physics, both on a 1-1 basis with students and also as a tutor/module leader in a larger class setting. Apart from being intelligent with great qualifications, Marco is caring and passionate about teaching. We strongly feel that students at all levels would benefit from his meticulous and structured tutoring approach.
Though the tutoring has finished, we have stayed in touch with Marco at a personal level - and he continues to enquire about the well-being of our son. We wish him the best with his PhD studies and teaching endeavours. Please do not hesitate to contact us on email@example.com.
