It depends on what help do you need, although I would like to mainly teach you how to think (to make you independent from tutors!) rather than how to do. I will choose and combine the three types of approaches underneath to suit your need, and I may develop other methods if the case is appropriate.
Firstly, perhaps you are finding difficulties in understanding the content taught at school. In this case, I can guide you through your homeworks or practice questions given by me to ensure that you understand all the basic concepts. Based on your understanding upon the basics concepts, I can give you some word-based, problem-solving style questions to challenge your mind, consolidate your knowledge, and help you to develop your thinking pathways for future learning. I will guide you through every part of the question if you need to, which will help you to understand the "how to" and "why this". By doing this you will have a thorough understanding of the concepts and good problem solving skills (skills for applying the concepts in questions, and, most importantly, I can ensure you that you will need less help from school teachers and tutors as you will have better learning skills subconciously.
Secondly, perhaps you are confident at most contents from the specifications, but you want to know the deep and difficult things which are not taught by the school teachers, I can help you. I can teach you how to deduce many formulae and theorems, which will give you an extra thorough understanding in your subjects. This will be fun if you love your subjects, and will help you to understand the topics in higher education.
Thirdly, perhaps you are worried about your exams coming soon! No worries, I can teach you many shortcuts for the complicated logical entanglements and easy ways to remember formulae, and exam techniques if you wish. Sorrily I can't help you to actually develop your thinking skills in a situation like this, but I can guarantee you that you will have a full and thorough revision with adequate understanding in all the sectors, and saving up some time to revise for other subjects.
I do not have any proper experiences in tutoring yet as I am a new tutor.
I have some experience in teaching young children by volunteering in a primary school coding club for half a year, and experience in teaching GCSE students by being told by my friends as being "helpful" in their GCSE courses.
An interesting thing to note is that my best friend, who was having 6s in his maths tests at school, turned out to have an 8 in Mathematics for his GCSE qualifications and blamed his good grade on the innocent me. Another thing to note is that my another friend, who was doing less well in mathematics compared to my best friend, was still able to master the factorization of quadratic equations after a relatively short explanation from me in a lunch break.
My tutoring skills may not be the most perfect but I am both passionate to and am able to learn skills to adapt my teaching techniques and methodology to suits the needs of the students and their parents/other guardians.
I am an A-level student excelled at Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science at GCSE level and I offer tutoring of them, up to GCSE level.
