My teaching method is to first understand the student, then understand how they think about things. From this I will create lesson plans that is specific to them and make sure they practice lots of questions so that they fully understand the problem.
I am a mathematician with lots of ways to help a student understand mathematics. I have never tutored professionally before but I have often help teach my younger brothers maths and fellow students. I did 1-1 with younger students in high school.

November 2019 – Present
I worked as a waitress at Rio Brazilian Steakhouse in Newcastle up until the it was closed due to the pandemic. Working here allowed me to develop new skills working in a very busy environment. I looked after a section of the restaurant where I worked in a very hectic environments as this was a brand-new restaurant that opened in Newcastle in November. This helped excel my hospitality skills even further.
PUMA
1/7/19 – 31/8/19
I worked in the credit control office for PUMA over the summer of 2019, working in an office environment allowed me to develop new skills such as handling different systems I hadn’t used before, such as AS400. I would regularly perform general admin work such as cash allocation and reconciling big accounts such as Sports Direct.

This job entices me to work in very busy environments when all the socials and societies come in. I have also worked on the downstairs bar which is called ‘The Venue’ which holds up to 1500 customers; meaning that I work with big events with this job and I can keep a cool head under this sort of pressure.

Working at Marks and Spencer’s really broadened my horizons with work experience as I worked in retail as appose to my previous hospitality jobs. I learnt many new and useful skills that were needed for a retail job; such as working through stock effectively to ensure maximum sales during the Christmas period.

Working at the cow shed really helped me improve my waitress and restaurant skills. I learnt how to more effectively and efficiently manage tables and give customers a comforting and enjoyable experience. I learnt lots about different foods and excelled in my knowledge of wine. During the seasonal and festive periods, I honed my skills working in a stressful, fast paced environment, ensuring a good dining experience in extremely busy times.

I worked all over front of house in the restaurant Streetfood. I was often looking after the entire restaurant myself, performing jobs such as waitressing, bartending, stock keeping etc. I always tried to give customers the best experience and make them feel comfortable. My duties also included cashing up and reconciling till receipts.

I worked in many areas of the restaurant, gaining experience in front of house, as a waitress and on the bar. I am happy to work in any area but I enjoyed working on the busy bar, making drinks and cocktails. I have dealt with large amounts of cash and was given the responsibility of cashing up on late shifts.

As my first job I gained experience of working in a busy cafe. I was taught how to make specialist coffees and drinks, how to waitress, work on the till and I was trained to cook the meals in the kitchen.

I took up a part time cleaning job in August 2017 for extra money to save for University. It involved me cleaning lots of different offices during the week across all areas of Wakefield. I would have to drive to each different area therefore needing me to manage my time effectively.
