I am currently an undergraduate University student that studies accountancy BSc Hons. I have earned a high A* in GCSE, and an A in AS level maths. I have an in depth understanding of many subjects such as trigonometry, and Pythagoras. I believe this is suitable for young students that have either a basic understanding to a subject, or one that wants to learn a topic from scratch.
My method involves identifying weaknesses through use of past papers as homework, and then working on these weaknesses through lots of practice. The key to a good mathematician is practice, and so I believe it's important to work at a pace comfortable to the student.
Assistant karate instructor
Letchworth Shotokan Karate Association – Letchworth, Hertfordshire, October 2013 – August 2016
I lead groups of up to 35 people for warm up sessions before splitting them into different groups depending on grades. I encourage my team of assistants to work with the junior members whilst I train the senior members. I offer guidance to my assistants with regards to different techniques needed to motivate different age groups. Whilst leading my own group, I have to stay alert to how my assistants are performing and provide support when necessary. These groups are largely informal and friendly.
Bedford Modern School – Bedford, Bedfordshire, October 2015 – April 2016
I spent time developing with a senior school student mathematical ability and built his confidence in dealing with difficult questions.

Work experience _
Sequoia LLP: Hammersmith Road, London, July 2015
During work experience in sequoia LLP, a firm specialising in trading interest rate derivatives, I was introduced to brokerage reconciliation and was given a report generated by sequoia’s systems. I was also asked to compare trades claimed by brokers against sequoia’s in-house generated brokerage payable, reporting all differences back to the payables team. I spent time with traders and got a taste of how a forex business gets its trading information and its tactics to make the most profit. In addition, I was given a mock foreign exchange trading platform to learn on. It was exciting to see how quickly the currency rates change and how even a small shift in rates could result in huge gains/losses to a trading business. It was enlightening to learn that the currency positions are hedged to eliminate risks.
Accentra Ltd: Woodford Green, London, July – august 2014
At Accentra, I worked as a part of a 3-member team to test a payroll package following software upgrades and changes to tax rates in the year. I was introduced to converting simple information into a ledger account and got a flavour of balance, nominal, real and personal accounts. I understood how we can resolve issues together and when and to who testing issues must be escalated. Being a junior member, it was very important for me to listen to advice, and make sure I understood and followed instructions. I recognised the importance of raising the issues log and observed how they were resolved – and how all the skills in the team complemented each other.
