About Remy
My passion for mathematics grew from an appreciation of patterns and logical structure. This led me to complete an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I developed both theoretical understanding and practical teaching strategies. Over 13 years, I have worked with students across elementary school math, middle school math, algebra, SAT math, and early calculus. I believe every learner benefits from personalized guidance. I adapt explanations using visuals, real-life examples, and step-by-step reasoning. I encourage questions and help students see mistakes as part of learning. Outside teaching, I continue exploring mathematics through problem solving and study. Teaching math is deeply rewarding because I see learners gain confidence and independence. Helping students believe in their reasoning ability is the most meaningful part of my work.

Mathematics becomes approachable when students are guided to understand ideas rather than memorize steps. My lessons focus on strengthening foundations across elementary school math and middle school math, helping learners feel comfortable with numbers, operations, and reasoning. I explain concepts patiently, ensuring students understand how each step connects, which helps reduce anxiety and build confidence.
As learners progress, lessons expand into geometry, algebra, SAT math, and introductory Calculus. I emphasize structured problem solving, visual explanation, and logical reasoning. Students are encouraged to explain their thinking, identify patterns, and approach problems calmly. Practice questions are selected carefully to reinforce understanding while gradually increasing complexity.
Maths lessons also support personal growth by improving focus, patience, and resilience. Students learn that progress comes from reasoning and consistency. My goal is to help learners feel confident, capable, and independent when approaching mathematical challenges.
