I base my tutor sessions on what the pupils wants and needs to work most on. I will tailor the session to how they are finding the curriculum. I find it very important while teaching to explain the example in a way that the pupil will fully understand.
I am a mathematics student currently studying at Cardiff University. I have got experience with giving private tutorials and teaching a class. Previously taught Maths and English in a secondary and primary school in Kenya as well as arranging an after school extra maths support class. On top of this I have previously tutored pupils on the run up to SATs and GCSEs.

With this role it meant that I would be multitasking a lot of didn't jobs which include some of the following. Answer telephones and provide callers with information, take messages or transfer calls to the appropriate individuals. Creating signage and online information for customers to view easily. Researching the necessarily guidelines that needed to be put in place for the shop to re-open. Getting the shop ready for re-opening due to COVID-19. Making enough masks and gowns to keep both the customers and employees as safe as possible from the virus.

After qualifying as a Lifeguard in May 2018 at Halo Leisure Centre in Leominster, I proceeded to get a role at the Centre as a casual lifeguard while studying for my A-levels. This job was not only beneficial for teaching me first-aid and cleaning skills but also the importance of customer service.

DEPUTY HEAD AND BALL ORGANISER, HEREFORD CATHEDRAL SCHOOL
Being deputy head was a very rewarding experience. My role meant that I sat in on meeting, helped organise services and managed the monitors through there roles. Also, while I was in sixth form I took the role of Ball organiser during my last year of A-level. This meant that I had to plan events for 100+ people to attend. This gave the ability to manage people and money.

This role included teaching GCSE students Maths and English, taking care of orphans and also teaching primary school children about hygiene and dental care. As well, the lead up before the trip raising several thousand pounds for the charity.

Working for Oxfam even though voluntary gave me firsthand experience into working in a store. Which in turn meant that I used a till, sorted out stock, organised the store and had a rapport with the customers.
