My teaching methods differ for each individual student based on their ability and learning type. I focus primarily on addressing the student’s weaknesses until they feel more confident with them.
In maths, I teach my methods clearly step by step to the student, and follow it up with practice questions gradually increasing in difficulty to ensure they have fully understood the concept.
In science, I will focus on breaking down whichever subtopics the student is struggling with, including sharing my previous notes and diagrams in addition to going through exam style questions together with the student.
I am now entering Year 12 in the Sixth Form at James Allen’s Girls’ School, which I have attended for the past 5 years. I will be taking Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics A levels over the next 2 years, which I achieved Grade 9s (A**)s in at GCSE, as well as in all my other subjects(English Language, English Literature, History, Geography, French and Spanish).
I have previously tutored my younger brother who is now starting the GCSE course, and thoroughly enjoy teaching and helping others.
I am also DBS checked.
Rosie has really helped me develop my maths and science skills. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly and engaging tutor. She doesn’t move on until I have fully understood a concept. Thanks Rosie!
As Rosie’s Dad, I know that she is great at explaining complex ideas and problems and making them simpler. She often helps her brother out with his homework like this. Rosie is very academically minded, very studious and sensible and great working with others and children. She is trustworthy, reliable and conscientious and I have no hesitation in recommending her to you.
