Methodology
I have developed a range of skills that allow me to assess children’s progress in order to plan the appropriate material, tasks and activities to ensure children progress in their learning. I have great organization skills, which would allow me to come to every session prepared with suitable activities. In sessions, depending on the end goal, I will scaffold the child’s learning by going through a topic with them together, then allowing them to complete an activity on their own using the skills they have acquired using my assistance. I would also work with the child to set goals and targets for the upcoming sessions so it is clear the child is making progress. I am also able to adapt my teaching where necessary, for the needs of the learner, to ensure that pupils are progressing in their learning. This also allows me to be reflective on my own teaching so I can adapt my styles to suit the needs of the pupil.
Experience
I am a Mathematics student graduate with a masters degree in Biomedical engineering. During my masters degree I have helped lots of my colleagues on their maths assignments and tests.
Currently tutoring 7 children, 4 of them in primary school and 3 of them doing their GCSEs.
First Class Maths GCSE and Primary Maths teaching. Flexible with the hours of the sessions.
