Seabrook College (Pupil referral unit – Southend)
o I initially worked at Seabrook as a mobile tutor, planning and delivering lessons in the Civic center and in children’s homes that were unable to attend mainstream school or the PRU.
Due to my ability to form relationships with children who were notoriously difficult to engage, I was moved to the Outreach team in September 2016.
o On the Outreach team I travel to various schools daily throughout the area and provide mentoring for pupils who are struggling to manage in their mainstream school setting.
o My responsibilities include planning sessions, completing work with the pupils relevant to targets set by the school, writing reports on the content of sessions, providing strategies for pupils and teachers and liaising with various professionals in schools and outside bodies.
