Maths teacher with over 15 years experience in Welling, London Borough of Bexley
Methodology
I am confident and efficient at teaching primary maths. In addition, I have had special training to effectively help students who are struggling with maths at the primary level. Though I can tutor secondary school students, I am presently looking to tutor students at the primary age, including those who are looking to do the 11+ exams.
I use various styles of teaching to suit each student's needs. I try to be as practical as possible ensuring that students first understand the basic concepts and then build on those basic concepts. Student are made to feel relaxed when I am teaching and they are free to ask questions.
My maths lessons are also linked to real-life examples so that students can apply the maths that they have learnt. My aim is to help students to understand maths and have fun with the subject!
Experience
I have been teaching in primary schools for over 15 years. I have been tutoring for approximately 3 years now. Students show very good progress as a result of being tutored by me. And parents are always happy with their children's progress.
