I teach mainly secondary school pupils both KS 3 and KS4. I work at the pupils pace and appreciate that all pupils will learn at different rates and have varying learning styles. I will always try to adopt and teaching method that suits each learners style.
I like to do a pre assessment before I start a new topic to assess prior learning and have a bench mark before I start a new topic so that progress can be seen.
I have been a teacher for over 10 years having originally qualified as a PE teacher, but for the past few years have worked as a supply teacher specialising in maths. I have also worked as a 1:1 maths tutor and I particularly enjoy this kind of teaching. I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing my students improve their maths skills and achieve their full potential in my subject.
I am a qualified teacher and currently reside in Lincoln. I am also a professional photographer, I combine my love for teaching and photography by shooting weddings at weekends and working as a general supply teacher in the week. Since 2008 I have combined my love of photography with my teaching work. I run a successful photography business and I balance this out with working as a supply teacher. The majority of my photography is at weekends which means that I am free to take on supply duties during the week.
