My teaching strategy is to understand and adapt with the learners thought process. Knowing what they can learn and how, will allow me to provide tailored one to one support with many questions for comprehension. My methods allow the student to understand all the misconceptions and mistakes related to a subject, allowing them to perfect.
I am a second-year chemistry student at Cardiff University. I have good knowledge of mathematics and chemistry backed up with teaching experience from the mosque. I have a good success rate - my first ever student happily passed all his GCSE's. I also have a brilliant smile rate. My lessons will not be spoon fed but aimed to help students understand concepts from a different apprach, to the point where they are teaching me.

(2017-present), Administrator, S-H Carpentry, Newport.
Carrying out general office work is my first experience of working independently, I am now efficient and adept at managing resources. Previously, I have created a guideline document of all necessary supplies, such as consumables, needed for specific tasks. Thus, saving the time of labourers and any new personnel. Furthermore, I have Invested time to source two direct suppliers to avoid purchasing from retailers. In effect, generating a passive income and saving money for the business. Moreover, I engage in Business to Customer interaction stimulating my critical thinking skills to establish the right decisions - for planning and pricing.
(09/2019-present) - Student Mentoring Scheme, Cardiff University.
Helping first-year students ease their transition into University life. My role is to host regular meetings to discuss essential topics, such as finance. Being an assuring presence to students increases their confidence and helps them make the most out of their first year at Cardiff University.
(2018-present), Assistant secretary, Mahdi Youth Team (MYT), an organization of Islamic Society for Wales (ISW), Newport.
One of MYT mission statements is to fundraise for the mosque while engaging the youth. I often benefit from being an assistant secretary when planning events - such as our annual procession and fair. Planning involves creating tasks to meet main objectives, consider how the mosque event affects the near public, and organise the timeline and stalls. This year, we had raised a fruitful £1800 - which largely contributed toward the institution's audio system.
(08/2018 - 09/2018), Warehouse worker, Amazon Logistics, Newport.
My time management skills were improved during shifts when working amongst colleagues, sifting through at least 15,000 parcels within 5 hours. Achieving this goal was a result of being cohesive and strict to the timings, which ensured the courier service was satisfied.
(08/2019 – 08/2019) - Clearing Call Centre agent, Cardiff University.
The Cardiff Clearing Call Centre is a community of students discussing the Results Day situation with high school students or equivalent. My role was to liaise with students about their new journey with Cardiff University and to discuss their new applications. Unfortunately, on the day, I had declined more students than accepted. However, staying true to the requirements, I was able to articulate myself effectively; sympathising and assuring student. This fast-paced environment created a comfortable atmosphere to develop decision-making skills.
(08/2018 – 08/2018) - Bassaleg Pharmacy, Newport.
My role was to, accurately, dispense medication for patients. Being attentive to every detail was vital since this could have detrimental effects on a patient's life. With many variations of the same drug, double-checking the variants with its prescription was a significant part of my responsibility.
I am always curious and enjoy keeping up with the latest news. Most recently, I have started working towards establishing an online presence in e-commerce. Furthermore, I am keen on organising; hence, I have stepped up as a social secretary for the Ahlul-Bayt Society (ABSOC) at University. Finally, I am a devoted member of the Newport Men's Cricket Club, in which I play a big part as an all-rounder for the Fourths team.
