Maths tutoring up to higher GCSE level, from an Aerospace Engineering university student. Bristol based.
Methodology
I offer help with homework tasks, as well as topics in general if there are difficulties in understanding them.
I can base my approach depending on the student's needs and preferences. I normally start asking questions on how to approach a certain problem, guiding them through it via a back-and-forth conversation, then move onto practice, practice, practice once they feel more comfortable with the idea.
For exam prep I focus more on identifying weaknesses, as well as exam technique to maximise score (e.g. how to set out answers).
Experience
I am an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Bristol. I achieved a GCSE Grade 9 (top 3%) in Maths a year early (Year 10), as well as an A* in GCSE Further Maths, which I undertook in Year 11 as an extra subject to cover the usual maths lessons, and which I taught to myself. I then went on to achieve 3 A*s (Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry) and an A (Physics) in A-levels, after having studied at a STEM specialised Sixth Form. I am also a native Italian speaker - born and raised in Italy - hit me up if also interested in Italian lessons :) .
