I'm an experienced tutor in practical and academic musicianship.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach classical piano, jazz piano, rock/pop piano, classical guitar, flamenco guitar and rock/pop guitar. I also teach general musicianship, theory, composition and preparation for music GCSE/A level. I can offer editing, proofreading and advice on essay writing.

I have a BA (Hons) in music from the University of York.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 for an hour's lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I usually teach at students' homes, but for guitar, theory or tutoring I can teach at my house in north-east London if preferred. I can travel to anywhere in Hackney, Islington, the City and Tower Hamlets, and parts of Lewisham, Southwark and Haringey. Places further afield are also possible depending on transport links.
- When are you available?
I usually teach Sunday through Tuesday, but times outside these can also be arranged.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Anyone from complete beginners through to diploma level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
GCSE Music, A level Music, A level Music Technology and all ABRSM grades.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching for five years, and am active as a gigging musician. I have edited several books on music and music technology, and am very familiar with the requirements of the various exam syllabi and what is needed to gain good grades. I am also active as a writer on music.
