I would give lessons to anyone between KS3 all the way to A2. My lessons will use a mixture of questions to both reinforce learning from previous sessions and to further the progression of the tutee through the course, I will also use verbal explanation to help in teaching.
As a tutor I am patient and have been noted in the past for using several different methods to get the best out of my tutees. I will use questions as a method of leading a student through complex ideas to reach the correct conclusion in the end.
I may also provide deeper insights into many ideas if that will help the tutee to reach the answer or if the interest is there!
While I am new to private tutoring as a tutor I have helped out in many stages at my old school as a one-on-one mentor as well as volunteering as a teaching assistant in science lessons. My teachers have commended me on my approach to teaching and on my methodology of teaching.
Furthermore I have had a variety of tutors to help me in the past so I know what really helps to maximise each session with a tutee.
I am currently studying an MBiolSci in Genetics and Microbiology.
I have achieved high grades in four science-based A2 including an A* in an entirely dependent EPQ. I also have 11 GCSE's, 9 at and A or higher including A* in Chemistry and Biology.
