Humanities :
My classes are based on discussion so that pupils learn to engage with, and refine their points orally in order to form well-structured essays. We will look at a variety of texts from different time periods for English and History, in order to formulate accurate and rounded responses to questions covering a broad literary time frame tailored to whatever standard the pupil is at. I find exposing students to a diverse variety of texts ranging across both poetry and prose is something they both engage well with and enables them to cover all grounds possible in an exam situation.
Languages :
With an emphasis on speaking in the target language for as much time as possible (ability dependant), I aim to build student's confidence as this is often what stops people excelling in languages. We will also be looking at some texts and short-stories in the target-language to expose pupil's to the language in its raw form rather than just what it looks like on a worksheet. Finally, there will be an emphasis on grammar and writing as these are the building blocks to any language, and fundamentally the most important when it comes to an examination.
I have been tutoring for the last three years which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I received A*A*A*A (English, French, Spanish, History) in my A level examinations from Westminster and Highgate School.
I have tutored several students at 11+, 13+, GCSE, and A-Level. I have a passion for engaging with pupils interested in progressing in these subjects at all levels. I have helped students get into top schools such as City of London, and Westminster School.
I have tutored many children, some as young as 5 who are learning english for the first time as a second language, and some who are studying for GCSE and A-Levels.

WORK EXPERIENCE
I have tutored 11+, 13+, and GCSE pupils in the subjects of English, Spanish, and French which have allowed me to engage with pupils across a broad age-range in a variety of subjects. I have spent time mentoring children at Ashmount Primary School in Holloway who have been diagnosed with autism and helping them learn to read and write. I completed work experience in the Supreme Court in the Summer of 2017, in which I had to engage with a court case and write the follow-up report for as It progressed. I furthermore lead a series of tutoring sessions for pupils sitting their GCSES in the Summer of 2018 in English Literature which enabled them to engage in active discussion with one another about a vast number of literary works which proved particularly useful for the unseen papers.
