From my previous tutoring experience I have found that students struggling in the sciences often have a one fundamental gap in knowledge and I have a bit of a knack for figuring out which piece of understanding is missing. It is vitally important, particularly in scientific subjects, to have a thorough understanding of the basics, and then we can move on up from there. I am a relaxed teacher and I encourage students to reach conclusions themselves which helps solidify knowledge and increases confidence. I will discuss with you the intensity to which I tutor, for example setting homework as I do not want to put any extra pressure on the student.
I am a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Strathclyde. I grew up in Oxford and took Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths at A level and received A*,A,A,B. I would be able to tutor these subjects up A level and other subjects such as, English, Spanish, Geography and History up to GCSE.
I am a hardworking, passionate engineering graduate from the University of Strathclyde. I would consider myself easy to work with and a team player. I am good at following instructions and am very keen to gain any experience you could offer me. I grew up in Oxford studying at Magdalen College School where I obtained my A Level results and before that at Wychwood School. Whilst at school I took part in many plays, including one which we took the Edinburgh Fringe in 2013. This taught me a lot about confidence and people skills which I have managed to transfer to my work in pubs over the last three summers.
I have had four summers’ work experience in local pubs where I have mainly been a waiter or on the bar staff, however in the summer of 2015 I gathered more and more responsibilities such as opening up and closing down the bar and restaurant and counting the till. I worked behind the bar at The Oxford Festival of the Arts 2016, as well as tending bar we assisted the catering team for larger events such as gigs and lectures.

Perfect! Catriona is a lovely, friendly girl who helped my daughter achieve an A in her Maths national 5 prelim after failing it last year. She made my daughter feel relaxed and confident, I would have no hesitation in recommending her as a tutor.
