Having had rigorous leadership training in the RAF and the Air Cadets, I have become a great leader in my everyday life, from being a Sports house captain at school to being my volleyball team captain and leading my team to numerous victories. Being the Rank of corporal and a Section Commander comes with many responsibilities which I have always met head on. As a leader I take into consideration everyone’s opinion before coming to a conclusion to make the best decision possible and I always keep the moral of my team high through all hardships we encounter.
Motivation and Ambition:
Working in high-pressured environments whilst dealing and communicating with people, I do extremely well, as I am an extremely competitive person with a strong motivation to succeed. I have always been able to balance work, study and my sporting interests whilst at school. Training several times, a week, whilst also meeting all assignments dates, and gaining top grades at school, required motivation, prioritisation and organisation skills.
Team-Work, Networking and Problem Solving:
I have always been a great team player and I am great at working with people and communicating with them and assisting them attending to their needs whilst keeping the safety of everyone involved in any situation. Being a part of my volleyball team I know and understand how important team-work and communication both in my volleyball team but also in everyday life is.
Additionally, currently studying Engineering enables me every day to improve my networking and IT skills. I have always been great at working with computers and software. I am very creative and have previous experience at designing creative websites, blogs, editing videos and advertising different fashion products through social media. I am great at using Photoshop, simple designing programs and even more advanced designing software used in engineering such as CAD. Studying Engineering also allows me to be great at problem solving both in the classroom and in everyday life. Resolving a customer query or complaint is something I can do very well, especially after having worked with children and dealing with young Air Cadets in my everyday life.
Hobbies Interests and Further information
Volleyball: Sport is one of my greatest hobbies and I have been extremely dedicated to playing volleyball since a very young age; I have represented the England under sixteen girls team and accomplished a Level One Coaching qualification in volleyball. I am now currently playing for the University of Northumbria Volleyball Team.
Music: Saxophone (Grade 6) I am currently part of the Air Training Corps London and the South East Region Marching and Concert band. Playing the saxophone made me become a remarkable musical person and has enabled me to stretch my creative wings.
She successfully completed all her university exams at University and she's been admitted at Glasgow University to study aerospace engineering and she will start in September 2017. She is determined, hard working, able to plan and organise lessons and she is patient and good in interpersonal relationships as tutor both with colleagues and students. I believe she will be an excellent tuttor.
