I believe the best way to learn and get better at any stem subject is through practice and doing as many problems as possible. I like to give students real life examples and explain where the given topic is used in the real world, as it gives them a better understanding of why it is necessary to learn the given topic and it facilitates working through problems. I then go through numerous questions from different textbooks in order for the student understand how to solve problems and also to see if the student is able to solve the problem on his/her own, and also to see where they get stuck and work on any problem areas.
I am a second year mechanical engineering student studying at Cardiff University. I am passionate about my degree having attended numerous robotics and math competitions, and winning many of these. I have taught several students; maths, physics and thermodynamics, all of which have improved after my help.
