Methodology
French is my first language and having studied it for over 12 years at school, I will be able to guide students in understanding the language and improve at writing. Talking to a native French speaker is also the best way to improve your pronunciation and comprehension, therefore the student will greatly benefit from it.
I am friendly and understanding. I believe that the best way to learn is to understand the subject, so I will focus on building a foundation so that the student becomes more confident and will learn key skills to become an independent learner. I also focus on exam questions within the sessions so the student will understand how to tackle exam questions and gain marks.
Experience
I am a second-year medical student at the University of Sheffield. I have a strong academic background, being the valedictorian at my school where I sat the French Baccalaureate. I am very knowledgeable in how the British education system works and I am confident in teaching students for GCSE & A-Level French.
I achieved the equivalent of an A* for French, Spanish, English and Mathematics for the French Baccalaureate. In college, I taught fellow students in small groups to help them prepare for tests and exams. I have also taught both Maths and English to younger children in deprived areas.

I am a second year medical student at the University of Sheffield and I am passionate about helping people. I have a particular interest in languages (French & Spanish) and mathematics, which are the subjects I teach.
During the first free session, I focus on finding out where the student has difficulties and if they have any preferred way of learning. That way, I can adapt myself and prepare the next session in a way that would suit the student.
I believe that the best way to learn is to understand the subject, so I will focus on building a foundation so that the student becomes more confident and will learn key skills to become an independent learner. I like making sessions interactive and to do that, I like ending sessions with a small quiz to summarise the student's knowledge and confidence in the subject. This also guides me in preparing for the next session.
