Having very recently gone through both GCSE's and the IB I am very familiar with the content and aim to make my lessons as simple and relatable as possible. From previous experience I understand that each student is different and requires a unique method that suits their strengths in order to gain a strong understanding of the subject. Therefore I aim to employ not only the methods of learning that worked for me during these exams, such as narrowing down the key concepts to ensure understanding and then expanding my knowledge for success in exams later, but also to create new methods that will suit the students individually. During my lessons we will break down the larger scientific topics into smaller sections. Once the key aspect of that topic is understood we can then go on to looking at its broader uses, links and ultimately how to approach exam questions about it.
I am a medical student who did the International Baccalaureate at secondary school. I love working with children, and have experience teaching Latin at a primary school and am part of a scheme writing online biology and chemistry videos. I also tutored students in the lower years at my school in Physics, Biology and Chemistry which I thoroughly enjoyed.
