I will ask students for a list of the topics they find most challenging and with resources related to these topics, I will work through the list until I am confident that my students have grasped the key themes and concepts. I will utilise spaced repetition and active recall in my lessons for best long term memory. After covering these topics I will ask my students if they have any questions -about the lesson or about homework or online work set by their schools.
I am a second year medical student at the university of Southampton who took biology, chemistry and maths at A-level. I have experience assisting in a year 8 science class and teaching in the combined cadet force. I will put in time and effort to ensure my students understand key concepts - I am a firm believer that misunderstanding is never the students fault, and that it is the responsibility of the teacher to find a different way of teaching the difficult concept. I also have experience volunteering in the Islington Bridge School, where I taught children with special extra needs aged 2-15.

Daniella is great at teaching for all types of ability. She is so patient and I have never felt uncomfortable about asking questions. Very reliable and very accurate. Highly recommend!
Daniella’s patience and empathy makes her a great tutor for younger learners, but her extensive working experience in hospitals and surgeries means that she’s got an incredible grasp on her subjects that all ages can benefit from. She can make really tough topics sound very simple without dumbing them down. Since she’s had jobs in both primary schools and retirement homes, she’s flexible and capable of clicking with anyone.
Daniella is patient and understanding. No problem is too hard. I have known her for over 10 years, and is the most reliable person. She is an amazing teacher and provides support to anyone, no matter their ability.
