I go through each topic, explaining the most important aspects of it at first. I think that an open approach to teaching is incredibly important and I encourage students to be vocal with what they are struggling with once I have outlined the topic. I believe this to be most effective as good tutoring should supplement learning at school/ college rather than mimick it. I also find it most effective to go through as many practise questions as possible, picking out those that are most common or illustrate the most important aspects of a topic.
I am currently an undergraduate medic at UCL. I am extremely passionate about helping students get through their A-Levels and especially getting their deserved places at prestigious universities. In addition to A-Level and GCSE syllabus I am able to offer advice on all aspects of the medicine application process. I have experience tutoring for a number of years and have worked as a teaching assistant at Kumon since secondary school. This has given me varied experience, working with pupils of various age groups and backgrounds. I have also become accustomed with various teaching styles through my experience. I realise completely the importance of methodology and practise in order to achieve the highest grades at both GCSE and A-Level. I am able to recommend resources and techniques to aid pupils to a point where they become proficient in their subjects.
