My teaching method for the medical application is guidance based, whereby we work on a loose basis where I reply to any questions you may have, as well as regular emails with extensive research of resources as well as my personal ones. It is very much a partnership sort of teaching style! I will contact you regularly with any helpful tips I may find, and keep up and help provide a balanced view throughout the process.
For subjects that are taught and remembered, I prefer a more methodical approached with scheduled lessons, where the student has informed me on what needs help - this also varies by student, whether that be practicing past papers, understanding content or understanding mark schemes!
I am a third year medical student, studying at Imperial College London, with past experience in guiding AS/A level students through the complex and often stressful process of applying to medicine! Due to applying to many different styles of university myself, as well as receiving training, I am also able to offer personal statement and interview help (and potentially university specific tips)! My experience volunteering with St John’s Ambulance also enables me to tutor the basic First Aid skills.
