I hope to create a low pressure, friendly environment, in which I focus on helping students to truly understand the material. My sessions involve talking through topics with students so that we can discuss anything they are having difficulty with. I hope to provide helpful and engaging material to make the sessions memorable. At the end of each session I will provide the student with exam-style questions to test their understanding and perfect their exam technique.
With many students unable to go into school I hope to be a friendly face that students can turn to when they are struggling.
I'm a second year medical student at the university of Edinburgh with extensive experience tutoring across a range of levels and subjects. I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential. Not long ago I was in their same shoes I managed to get 11A* at GCSE and 43/45 points at IB. Having done it all recently I have all the tips and tricks to get them through exams and be successful. I hope to have a positive impact on the students I tutor and will cater my lessons to their needs.
Having had a tutor when I was younger and being a tutor throughout school and university means I have a wealth of experience to make lessons interesting and engaging. I have experience helping students with subjects they find particularly challenging and I enjoy finding new ways to teach topics in a way that makes them easy to understand. I throughly believe that a top grade can be achieved by anyone and my previous students have reflected this.

I struggled significantly with my a-level Biology prior to meeting Emilio. He was a wonderful help in pushing me towards achieving an A* and without him I don’t know what I would have done! He never failed to attend a session or prepare work in advance and always helped to try answer all questions I had. Very friendly and all round good lad. Would recommend to any student looking to boost their grade by a few levels. Even had a few exam tips and tricks which came in handy.
Emilio is an excellent teacher who is very thorough and informative. He helped me achieve a 7 in IB geography and as a result get me into the university of my choice. I would definitely recommend Emilio as a tutor as he is someone who is reliable, approachable and is happy to answer any questions you may have .
