Are you a visual learner? Do you prefer to listen to an explanation in small chunks? Does the textbook send your brain into sleep mode?
I use a variety of teaching methods to try and find what works best for you. For example, I can use diagrams, videos and quizzes to provide new information, and create games and flashcards for when it comes to revision.
I can also mark practice papers and then go through them with you.
I have not found that one method fits all of my students. Whatever your learning style, I would like to adapt and work with you.
I am a medical student at the University of Manchester. This is my 5th year of study.
I've been tutoring for the past 6 years in maths, biology and chemistry, both in person and online, for 5 different students. They have all told me that the tutoring has helped build a deeper understanding of the subject, as well as contributing towards their exams. My most common level of teaching is GCSE, but I am able to teach A-level biology and chemistry as well.
My own A-level grades were AA*A*A* in chemistry, maths, biology, and philosophy and ethics.
Please provide 24 hours notice if cancellation is required. I can often adjust timings, so please let me know as soon as possible if something comes up and I might be able to work around you.
