I approach each topic by starting from the ground upwards. After laying a foundation of knowledge for my students, I aim to supplement their learning with the comprehensive notes I have written, which are exam board specific and detailed. I like to use both traditional and active learning techniques, which have worked well previously with my students. I implement the use of quizlet, in order to help aid memorisation of key topics, as well as having a heavy focus on past paper work.
I am a Medical student at King's College London, and have been teaching triple science and English for the past year. I have experience with a broad range of students, of varying ages and capabilities - from KS2 level to GCSE.
For a level I have studied Biology, Chemistry and English literature, as well as Chinese for AS level. This therefore has provided me access to different methods of teaching; such as group based discussion, wrote learning and practical skills from different subjects which I aim to incorporate in my teaching style.
If the lesson takes place in outside of zone 1-3 in London, I will charge an extra £5 to cover travel expenses.
Cancellation is free, as long as this is clearly communicated in a timely manner.

I recommend Athar to anyone looking for a tutor for KS2,KS3 or GCSE level. He’s helped my year 7 son find the transition between primary school and secondary school very easy and is a very committed teacher!
Best biology tutor i have had. Been through a few and never found one that has had as much patience and capability to teach me the topics. Grateful i found him as he enabled me to achieve more than i ever thought i could. Would recommend him to anyone.
