I have never 'formally' tutored before but at university i have run numerous teaching sessions for students in younger years. I like to first identify the weaker areas within a students knowledge and identify the gaps that need to be filled, before then working through that topic area in detail, and asking the student to relay the information back to me to ensure they have understood.
As mentioned in the title I am currently a third year medical student studying at the University of Sheffield. I studied all 3 sciences at GCSE and then at A level, achieved A grades in chemistry and biology and a B in physics.
I'm a very welcoming and friendly person and would be honoured to work with you to help achieve the grades you desire :)
i am willing travel no more than 5 miles from my university house- if it is any further we can discuss travel costs
My names Nick Prescott and I’m currently in my third year of my medical degree at the University of Sheffield. I am very hard working, organised and I am a very passionate worker. As you will see below, all my work experience has come in bars and restaurants; I feel this is an advantage to me as I have years of customer service work and I know how to effectively communicate with customers to ensure they are satisfied upon leaving.
Due to Covid, my clinical placements on my degree have been cut back rather significantly- therefore my working hours will be more flexible. Also, due to my degree, I don’t have ‘normal’ term times- I.e. I am still in Sheffield throughout summer, so apart from the odd week or 2 when I get given time off my degree, I will be in Sheffield pretty much throughout the year. I would be happy to work on the ‘busier’ customer service days (e.g. weekends) and I can be flexible on a week-by-week basis for weekday and evening work, depending on my placements (however please note that my shifts on my Hospital placements can vary from week-to-week, so I would struggle to agree to a set shift pattern).

I am very passionate about weight training and going to the gym, which helps with my organisation and time-management skills. Both playing and watching football is also a huge interest and passion of mine.
