Hi, I'm a 3rd year Medical student at the University of Leeds, willing to give biology lessons to GCSE, A-Level or IB students.
While teaching, I like to use a question-based approach, creating a bank of material that is self-tailored, visually appealing and that encompasses key themes, along with the syllabus. To do this, I like to understand where my students are, and create solid aims as I work with them.
Every student learns differently, and in my experience, exploring a range of note-taking techniques and various modes of learning can boost anybody's learning efforts.
I like to use a range of textbooks and resources that I offer my students, as well as past papers and question banks to test understanding and to prepare for final exams.
I'm friendly and outgoing, and will work hard with you to achieve top results.
For much of my high school, and some of my university career, I've tutored and mentored several peers and younger students on a voluntary basis.
Students and peers have often noted my efforts when teaching, and particularly, my passion for biology. Most students have found me especially helpful in constructing revision timetables, providing general study tips and being available whatever the time (phone or email) when tackling questions. I also help provide moral support when required and am always happy to give extra assistance.
In addition to the course material, I'm also happy to share my experience and advice regarding my current medical studies
- A range of international medical experience including pharmacies and shadowing doctors as part of my application for medicine
- Clinical placement as part of my course
